Is Aslan Really Muhammad? Part II

That’s right. A sequel.

As you already know, Aslan’s voice, Liam Neeson, claims that Aslan could stand for any spiritual leader. Well, Hollywood strikes again!

But Dawn Treader producer Mark Johnson agrees with the, shall we say, more inclusive analysis from [Liam] Neeson, telling The Hollywood Reporter that “resurrection exists in so many different religions in one form or another, so it’s hardly exclusively Christian.”

“We don’t want to favor one group over another … whether these books are Christian, I don’t know,” Johnson added.

So, can people who deny Christ make what should be a Christian movie? I’d say it depends. Can they be true to the source material? Even Balaam’s ass spoke God’s Words. I’d say there’s still hope, but, of course, we shall see.

We shall see.

  1. So, apparently this Mark Johnson, like Neeson, either hasn’t read all of the Narnia books, doesn’t understand what even a third grader can apprehend, or knows next to nothing about Christianity. Whatever the case, he and Neeson both need to stop talking and get themselves educated about what they want to talk about. Good grief!
