I’ve got too many damn universes in my garage. It started as a little infestation. I wanted to ignore them.
The problem with universes is that they grow. Sure, they start cute enough what with their shiny stars and all that, but then they end up absorbing your car and using the base elements to create planets and stuff.
And then my wife found out.
Marietta can scream real loud.
So now I’m out here, setting the traps, hoping to get rid of the pests.
I got a box of black holes. The good traps. That should take care of them. As long as the kids don’t find them.
FLASH! It’s Flash Friday, the day when Seeking New Earth authors write short stories up to 1000 words (“flash fiction”) or 110 words (“microfiction”). both are sure to instigate the imagination and stimulate the synapses. Did you like what you read? Want to explore the story some more? Or maybe you want to try your own hand at some flash fiction? Leave us a comment below!
Today from me it’s a piece of microfiction (110 words or less). pianomikey provided the opening line, and it went from there. If he has the same opening line as me, well, you can say I stole it from him, not the other way around.
