Barrelbottom Tales

A land exists where every dream you’ve ever had crackles with life. Authors and poets venture there to capture and imprison dreams in cages of ink and paper. Imagination itself creates  the land and imbues it with wonder. You go there every night and return only with regret.

This story is not about that land.

A land exists where forgotten stories dwell. Here live the stories dreamt but unwritten. Here live the Saturday morning cartoons beloved but set aside. Here dance the characters that fell to the cutting-room floor.

This story is not about that land.

A land exists where rejected dreams languish. Here lie the stories that no author would choose to write. Here dwell the ideas that no dreamer would care to dream. These are not forgotten dreams or shattered dreams. They were never entertained in the first place.

This story is about those rejected dreams, the place they called home, and what became of them.
